Ignition system

System of ignition for engine G16

The general description

For the vehicles equipped with additional system of restriction of movement (a safety air cushion):

  • Service of components of an air cushion of safety and near to them or works with electroconducting should be carried out only by authorised dealer SUZUKI. Non-observance of safety measures of requirements can lead to inadvertent operation of system or put system out of action. Any of these two conditions can lead to a serious trauma.
  • Works on maintenance service should be begun not earlier than in 90 seconds after the ignition switch is translated in position «LOCK/ЗАМОК» and the negative cable is disconnected from the battery. Otherwise the system can be activated reserve energy of the module of sensor controls and diagnostics.

Whether the components specified more low in a concrete vehicle are established or not, depends on the vehicle specification. Remember it when will perform works on service:

  • The resistor of an advancing of ignition;
  • Diagnostics socket.

The given system of ignition - system without the distributor. It consists of parts as is described more low and has system of the electronic control of ignition.

  • ECM (or PCM)

She distinguishes an engine condition on signals from sensor controls, defines the most suitable time of an advancing of ignition and time when the electricity should be submitted on the primary coil and sends a signal on the ignition coil.

  • Assemblage of the coil of ignition

The ignition coil has the built in igniter which includes and disconnects a primary current of the coil of ignition according to a signal with ECM (or PCM). When the primary current of the coil of ignition is disconnected, in a secondary winding the high voltage is induced.

  • Spark plug, wire of a high voltage and шумоподавитель
  • CMP-sensor control, TP a sensor control, ECT a sensor control, MAF a sensor control and other sensor controls/switches.

Though the given system of ignition has no distributor, in it there are two coils of ignition (one for spark plugs №1 and №4, and another for свеч ignitions №2 and №3). When the ignition signal moves with ECM (or PCM) on an igniter in assemblage of the coil of ignition for свеч ignitions №1 and №4, in the secondary coil the high voltage is induced. Then it moves on a spark plug №1 through wires of a high voltage and on a spark plug №4 is direct from assemblage of the coil of ignition, forcing to give to both these candles a spark simultaneously. Similarly, when the ignition signal goes with ECM (or PCM) on the coil of ignition for свеч ignitions №2 and №3, a high voltage is induced in the secondary coil. Then it moves on a spark plug №3 through wires of a high voltage and on a spark plug №2 is direct from the ignition coil, forcing to give to both these candles a spark simultaneously. The system of ignition of a vehicle with sensor control CKP does not demand adjustment of initial time of an advancing of ignition.
