Balancing of wheels

There are two types of balance of wheels and tyres: static and dynamic.

Static balance represents equal distribution of weight to a wheel. The statically not balanced wheels cause the vertical oscillative motion named jumping. Such condition leads to non-uniform deterioration of tyres.

[A] — Before adjustment
[In] — Correcting weight
1 — heavy jumping of a wheel
2 — balancing cargoes in an additional point
3 — the central line of a spindle

Dynamic balance represents equal distribution of weight to each party of the central line of a wheel in such a manner that at rotation of a wheel it does not move here and there. Dynamically unbalanced wheels can cause шимми (self-raised angular fluctuation of wheels).

[With] — Before adjustment
[D] — Correcting weight
1 — heavy шимми wheels
2 — balancing cargoes in an additional point
3 — the central line of an axis of a fist
