Wheel replacement

Wheels are subject to replacement if they погнуты, on them are dents, at them excessive lateral or radial palpation, air leak through the welded connections extended болтовые of an aperture if nuts stand not densely if they have strongly rusted. Wheels with the big palpation, than it is shown in drawing, can cause undesirable fluctuations.

The wheels established at replacement, should be similar initially established on load-carrying capacity, diameter, width of a rim, displacement and a fixing configuration. The wheel of the improper size or type can affect wheel and bearing service life, cooling of brakes, speedometer \odometra calibration, a road gleam with a body and the chassis.

For measurement of palpation of a wheel it is necessary to use the exact indicator. The tyre can be on a wheel or is removed from a wheel. For correct measurement the wheel should be established on the stand for balancing.

Lateral and radial palpation with internal and external закраины rims is measured. The indicator strongly establish on a wheel, a wheel slowly rotate on a complete revolution and write down all indications of the indicator.

If the measured palpation exceeds the specified value, and at the stand to adjust a deviation it is not possible, it is necessary to replace a wheel. If instrument readings are deformed at the expense of welding, a paint or scratches, they can be neglected.

Limit of lateral palpation “a”: 1.20 mm (0.047 inches)
Limit of radial palpation “b”: 1.20 mm (0.047 inches)
