Test in garage
This test checks the general work of an automatic transmission and the engine by means of measurement of bench speed in position “D” and “R”. At carrying out of this test be convinced that the liquid of an automatic transmission has normal working temperature, and its level is between marks "Full" and "Low".
|
- Do not hold the engine on bench speed continuously more than 5 seconds as the liquid can heat up very strongly.
- Having executed bench test, allow to the engine to work idling not less than 30 seconds before following bench test.
|
|
|
Put the car on a lay brake and block wheels.
|
Establish a tachometre.
Start the engine, having switched the lever of transfer to position Р.
Press a brake pedal to the full.
Switch the lever of transfer to position “D” and press "a gas" pedal to the full, looking thus at a tachometre. When speed of the engine (rpm) becomes a constant (bench speed), quickly remember its value.
Release "a gas" pedal right after checks of bench speed.
Similarly check up bench speed in position “R”.
Bench speed should be within following borders:
Bench speed:
2,100 – 2,400 ob./minutes for engine G16
2,300 – 2,600 ob./minutes for engine J20

Results of check
|
The possible reason
|
Level below the standard
|
* Inadequate effective power of the engine
* The faulty hydrotransformer
|
Level above standard in position “D”
|
* Coupling of raising transfer slides off
* Forward coupling slides off
* Faulty муфта a free wheeling of raising transfer
* Faulty муфта free a course №2
* Low linear pressure
|
Level above standard in position “R”
|
* Direct coupling slides off
* The backing brake slides off
* Low pressure of a liquid
* Coupling of raising transfer slides off
* Faulty муфта a free wheeling of raising transfer
