Delay check

This test checks a condition of coupling, a brake of a backing and pressure of a liquid. "Delay" means a time interval since the moment when the lever of a choice of transfer is switched at the idling engine, and till the moment when the push will be felt.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Put "boots" under forward and back wheels in front and behind, press a brake pedal.
  1. Start the engine.
  2. Prepare a stop watch and switch the lever of a choice of transfer from position “N” in “D” and note time from this point on before will feel a push.
  3. Similarly measure delay time at switching of the lever of transfer from position “N” in “R”.

The specification of time of delay

“N” “D”

Less than 1.2 seconds

“N” “R”

Less than 1.5 seconds


  • At repetition of this test wait not less than minute after switching of the lever of a choice of transfer back in position “N”.
  • For this test it is necessary to warm up the engine completely.
