Removal

In an engine compartment

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect "minus" (–) a cable from the battery. Place a wooden plate (1) between the engine (2) or an inlet collector (3) both a partition between salon and a compartment of the engine (4) so that it served as a stopper when the engine, the transmission and transfer will hang when the back fixing part will be removed.

Do not forget to take advantage of a wooden plate not to admit possible contact between a partition of salon and a compartment of the engine and gauge SMR case (camshaft position) (at engine G16), gauge SMR (camshaft position) (at engine J20).

For models with engines G16 and J20

t (thickness) — 45 mm (1.8 inches)

In salon

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Remove a console box. Remove the gear change lever as it is described in the Head the Mechanical transmission (type 1), in Section the gear change Lever. Remove the lever of switching of transfer as it is described in the given Chapter, in Section the gear change Lever.

On the lift

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Merge transfer oil as it is described in the given Chapter, in Section Oil of a distributing box. Remove forward and back карданные shaft as it is described in Head Kardannye shaft, in Razdele Kardannyj a shaft. Disconnect an exhaust pipe №5 as it is described in the Head release System, in Section Components. Disconnect фитинг the gauge of speed.
    Put a jack under a transmission (1) and remove a back fixing part of the engine (2).
    Gradually lower a jack (1) and check up, that the wooden plate served as a stopper between the engine or an inlet collector and a partition of salon and an engine compartment.
    Remove bolts (4) cases of the lever of switching of gear wheels (3).
    Extend a hose сапуна.

In salon

Remove the case of the lever of switching of gear wheels, and then remove a bolt (1) back cases of transfer.

On the lift

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Remove transfer fixture (back fixture of the engine) (1), having removed bolts (2).
    Put a jack under a transmission (2) to prop up it.
    Remove фитинги wires of switches 4 WD (a full drive)/4WD - LOW (a full drive – bottom). Remove bolts of the forward case of transfer (1). Having propped up transfer (2) jack (1), shift it back and when it will separate from a transmission, lower it.
